Tarquinia Country Club

This magnificent 9-hole course of the Tarquinia Country Club founded in 1969 lies only seven kolometres outside of Tarquinia in close proximity to an exclusive residential area. This golf club is very popular in Italy. The course is harmoniously integrated into the lovely landscape of Latium. Oak trees, pine trees and eucalyptus tree provide shade and structure the beautiful and well-kept par 70 course. It has a length of 5,442 metres. The holes meander across and along gently undulating hills from where you can enjoy the charming view across the nearby Tyrrhenian Sea, the medieval towers of Tarquinia, and the lovely valley of Marta. The course is flat and also a great joy for beginning players. Deep bunkers and narrow fairways do however require technical and precise play. There is also an on-site pro shop and a golf school. The club restaurant offers local delicacies. Equipment, such as clubs, trolleys or electric carts, can be rented. Tarquinia Country Club is situated in Latium, about 90 kilometres outside of Rome, and just under 50 kilometres outside of Viterbo. The city of Tarquinia and its surroundings are famous for their Etruscan excavation sites. They were designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2004.
