Tauranga Golf Club

Around ten minutes from the center of the town and directly by the Bay of Plenty Racing Club at the Tauranga racetrack, lies the Tauranga Golf Club. The club was founded in 1914 and boasts a striking 18 hole course close to the beach resort of Mt. Maunganui. The par-71 course stretches out over gently undulating terrain. The fairways are lined with impressive trees and the greens perfectly manicured. They are fast and located on an undersoil of sand, with the parkland course measuring 5,585 meters in total (blue tees). Many greens are well guarded by strategically places bunkers and the golf course offers experienced golfers and beginners alike a perfect day of golf. The service area certainly adds to this, with a well-equipped pro shop, a golf academy, and a practice area. Additionally, the club restaurant offers “Classic Cuisine”, savoury meals and refreshing beverages. The cafe is also very popular for its sugary creations.
