Tennanah Lake Golf& Tennis Club

The Tennanah Lake Golf & Tennis Club is situated in the town of Roscoe that belongs to the city of Rockland, which is in Sullivan County in the US state of New York. Is it located in a more than 250-hectare-large area near Lake Tennanah and the Catskill Mountains, on the highest point of Sullivan County. Located ten minutes away from the town center of Roscoe, the Tennanah Lake Golf & Tennis Club can be easily reached from New York via the NY-17 W in two and a half hours. In 1935, it first opened a 9-hole course that was designed by Alfred H. Tull. In 1959, the famous golf player and golf course architect Sam Snead redesigned and expanded the golf course to an 18-hole course with par 72. He created a 6,189-meter-long course with some doglegs, but mostly long, straight fairways, numerous bunkers and water hazards in form of ponds and streams. Water can be found at the holes 3, 6, 7, 12 and 14 and almost always has to be overplayed by the golf players. Three different teeing possibilities create different difficulty levels on the courses, which golf players of all levels can appreciate. The golf course at the Tennanah Lake Golf & Tennis Club is the oldest course in Sullivan County and is among the most beautiful ones in the state of New York.
