Fairmont Acapulco Pierre Marques Golf Course

A fantastically beautiful golf course in the Mexican holiday paradise! The lovely complex of The Fairmont Pierre Marques Golf lies south of the bay of Acapulco. The course is open all year round and belongs to the luxurious Fairmont Acapulco Princess beach resort, directly by the sandy beach of the Pacific, which stretches out for miles. The 18-hole course with par-72 is laid out like a tropical garden. The golf course at The Fairmont Pierre Marques Golf was opened in 1971 and was designed by the golf course specialist Percy Clifford. Robert Trent Jones Sr. (1982) was responsible for the refurbishment of the golf course for the World Cup 1982. Numerous water hazards and well-placed bunkers give the athletic course its structure. Majestic Parota trees provide terrific eyecatchers between the palms and flowering shrubs of The Fairmont Pierre Marques Golf. They give shade to the numerous greens and ponds. The hotel is laid out like a Mexican Hacienda and offers, in addition to restaurants and bars, several tennis courts and swimming pools. There is a pro-shop on site and there is also the possibility to book group lessons or individual lessons with professional golf instructors. If desired, one can train on the driving range with its adjoining putting, pitching and chipping greens. Let the golfing day end with a refreshing swim in the Pacific Ocean and, afterwards, a sundowner on the terrace of the restaurant. The views of the Revolcadero beach, the Pacific and the hills of the Sierra Madre on the landward side are hard to beat.
