The Golf Club of Lebanon

The Golf Club of Lebanon is the country’s only golf club. It already opened its doors in 1923; now, it is part of a private sport and recreational center, but still open to non-guests as well. The 18-hole course is situated close to the Mediterranean Sea, at the southern edge of the capital of Beirut. The international airport of the Middle Eastern country, Rafic Hariri International Airport, is not far. The Golf Club of Lebanon is one of the capital’s largest “green spaces”, and a veritable oasis of sport and recreation. The course is surrounded by trees, which keep all the urban hustle and bustle at bay. The course is quite undulating. Doglegs, bunkers, and two water hazards interfere strategically with the course. In spite of this, it is also suited for players of higher handicap classes. The naturally formed fairways and greens are very well tended. The course underwent renovations over the last few years, making it fit to host regional tournaments again. The Golf Club of Lebanon offers its guests a wide range of sports and recreational activities, such as tennis, swimming, billiards, and bridge. Golfers can meet up after their round at The Pool Restaurant. It offers both Arab and international cuisine, while offering diners a splendid view of the swimming people. A great spot to relax and unwind.
