The Heath Golf Club

The golf course at the Heath Golf Club is located in the heart of the green island, some five kilometers northeast of Portlaoise and can be easily reached via the M7. The athletically demanding course is spread across open HEIDELAND and surround two natural lakes. The greens are often surrounded by STECHGINSTER that bathe the course in indescribable yellow from spring to summer. The 18-hole course is a so-called parkland links course. It is intermediately difficult and well-suited for golfers of all experience levels. To warm up and train, a well-kept driving range with ten tees and various greens are available. The club’s history can be traced back to 1889, making the Heath Golf Club the seventh oldest club in Ireland. Guests are always welcome at golf club and the atmosphere is friendly and relaxed. For those interested, Head Pro Mark O’Boyle offers training lessons; rental equipment is also available at the Pro Shop. The wonderful club house with its restaurant and bar leave no wish unfilled. Players often meet here after an athletic round of golf to enjoy a delicious meal or refreshing drink. “Sarah’s Country Kitchen” is well-known for its selection of delicious homemade scones, and much more.
