The golf course The Ritz-Carlton Members Golf Course is located halfway between the cities of Bradenton and Sarasota in Manatee County, which is part of the US state of Florida. It sits on a 78.75 hectare area in the Ritz-Carlton Members Golf Club Sarasota, near the Gulf coast, and is framed by the Braden River. The Ritz-Carlton Members Golf Course winds through wetlands, swamps, oak trees, grass areas, and shrubs and provides good transport links. From Sarasota and Bradenton, the course, which was opened as an 18-hole parkland course with par 72 in 2006, can be reached in half an hour. The golf course architect Tom Fazio was responsible for its design. He created the 6,782 meter course with elevated, wide fairways and fast greens. There are significant differences in altitude on the elevated terrain, ranging from 5 to 40 meters. 16 lakes and countless bunkers ensure a level of difficulty for the Ritz-Carlton Members Golf Course, which features six different boxes for teeing off to provide varied difficulty levels. In 2011-2012, Golf Digest selected the course as the one in the best condition. It hosted the US Open Qualification in 2013.
