Traigh Golf Club

The Traigh Golf Club is the most westerly golf course on the peninsula due to its location between Arisaid and Morar in Scotland. Visitors can arrive by ca via the A830 and the B8008; this takes around an hour from Fort William. The 9-hole golf course (par 68) was built on the grounds (in use since around 1900) between 1993 and 1993 by John Salvesen. The seemingly unspectacular layout of the Traigh Golf Club is not to be underestimated – balls must often be played over rising hills or through sophisticated dog legs. Even the wind plays a large role due to the course’s location directly near the sand dunes, requiring a precise game from even the most experienced golfer. After a round of golf at the Traigh Golf Club, drinks, snacks, and sweet food can be enjoyed from April to October in the cozy club house. Alternatively, the nearby beaches can be visited to swim, take a stroll, fish, or simply observe the many birds. Guests are welcome at the Traigh Golf Club all year round; golf clubs and trolleys can be rented at the club house. A small selection of golf accessories and clothing is also offered.
