Upavon Golf Club

Upavon Golf Club is located in the charming community of Upavon in the English county of Wiltshire. The nearest city is Salisbury, some 30 kilometers south of Upavon. The area is quite harmonious and has been populated since pre-history. The famous stone circle of Stonehenge is not far. Wide, soft valley are traversed by the river Avon and small, villages dot the landscape like jewels. Upavon Golf Club was founded in 1912. It owes its existence to the RAF base Upavon. In the summer of 1912, airmen stationed here would use the golf course to relax. The 18-hole course is type parkland. The terrain is hilly and was masterly integrated into the existing landscape by Richard Blake. Guests are always welcome at Upavon Golf Club. Soft spikes are recommended; cell phones and GPS devices are permitted. Upavon Golf Club also boasts a driving range with 10 range tees. Additional training can be accomplished at the club’s special training area that includes putting greens, chipping greens, pitching greens, and practice bunkers. The club house at Upavon Golf Club features a restaurant and a Pro Shop that offers rental equipment. These include trolleys, electric trolleys, and electric carts.
