Vietnam Golf & Country Club – East Course

The Vietnam Golf & Country Club is located not even 20 kilometers outside of Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon). The club has two championship courses with par 72 and has already hosted large championships. Both courses seemingly naturally wind through a forest area as if they had always been there. The West Course, which was inaugurated in 1994, originates from the Taiwanese Chen King Shih. The 7,106-yards-long course is characterized by narrow fairways, flat and fast greens. These are lined by palm trees. The tees are long and the landing zones are narrow. Numerous fairways are divided by trees placed in the middle. Lee Trevino designed the layout for the East Course, which was opened in 1997. With 6,946 yards, it is a little shorter, but very tricky. The fairways are wider, but the greens are protected by water hazards and no less than 110 bunkers. This course is so demanding that even professional golfers are challenged. The Vietnam Golf & Country Club is a private club. During the week, the golf course is also open to guests. Golf vacationers in Saigon should not miss the opportunity of a round at the Vietnam Golf & Country Club. The golf course also includes a beautiful clubhouse with neat dressing rooms, showers and saunas as well as two restaurants. The delicious Vietnamese noodle soup is recommendable.
