Walmer & Kingsdown Golf Club

The traditional golf club in Kent was founded in 1909 and is situated high above the picturesque white cliffs between Dover and Deal. The 18-hole course with par 72 was designed by James Braid, one of the club’s founders. On the 5,917-meter-long course, players can enjoy golfing with a fresh breeze and a view of Kingdsown. The varied course is so well-designed that it is interesting for golfers of all experience levels. There is a halfway house on the course in case any golfer is need of rest, food, or drink. Braid integrated the course at Walmer & Kingsdown Golf Club so harmoniously into the grandiose coastal landscape that golfers can enjoy fantastic views of the English Channel. A large driving range is also available, especially well-suited for long hitters. If needed, golf buggies can be rented at the on-site Pro Shop. The atmosphere at Walmer & Kingsdown Golf Club is open and relaxed; people enjoy meeting each other at the club house which includes a cozy bar. The golf course is situated directly on the coast not far from Kingsdown: Visitors are recommended to enjoy a walk along the nearby South Foreland Heritage Coast with its famous chalk cliffs.
