Ypsilon Golf Liberec

The golf club Ypsilon Golf Liberec is located near Fojtka, part of the town of Mníšek and the city of Liberec (German: Reichenberg) in Northern Bohemia. It is not far from the German border, surrounded by the hilly landscape along the foothills of the Jizerské Hory mountains at an altitude of 420 to 470 meters. Ypilon Golf Liberec is situated on a 102-hectare large estate along the dam wall at Fojtka near Liberec. The playable area amounts to 37 hectares. From Fojtka and Liberec, the club can be quickly reached in 12 to 17 minutes. Via the D10/E65, Ypilon Golf Liberec can be reached in 90 minutes from Liberec. It was founded in 2006 and opened the same year by the British golf course architect Keith Preston as an 18-hole championship course, type parkland with par 72. The hilly course is characterized by many doglegs, water hazards, and bunkers. It also boasts fast greens and long fairways with differences in elevation. The holes at the course are strewn between small pockets of forest and are seldom near each other. At holes 1 and 4, a water hazard must be played over, while holes 6 and 7 are “forest holes.” The strategic course demands athleticism and tactical thinking from golfers of all handicaps. It was chosen golf course of the year in 2006 by Golf Digest Czech Republic.
