Anglesea Golf Club

A golf experience for kangaroo fans! Anglesea Golf Club is situated on Great Ocean Road in the state of Victoria, to the east of Melbourne. The club opened in 1950 and boasts a very beautiful 6,028-meter-long 18-hole course with par 73. The course is located in the middle of bushland. It is designed in an athletically demanding way, but is still interesting for beginners. Although the park only has 42 bunkers, these are arranged as a long sand belt. The fairways are lined by large eucalyptus trees, which are gorgeous to look at and give shade. A pleasant breeze often blows in from the nearby ocean. Technique and precision play a crucial role on the course. The Anglesea Golf Club ranks among the most beautiful golf facilities in Australia. The many kangaroos that cross the course in family groups every day provide a special feature. These are so-called eastern grey kangaroos, and they delight players and visitors. They are relaxed and harmless and can wonderfully be observed from the golf restaurant. But the athletic aspect has also not been neglected at this southern Australian golf course: Anglesea features winter-green couch grass, a four-hole short course, two putting and chipping greens, as well as training nets. The on-site pro shop is very well equipped, and also offers the option to book lessons. Visitors are always welcome. Anglesea Golf Club is open all year.
