Banyan Golf Club ranks among Thailand’s best courses; it opened its doors in 2008 and was named the “Best New Course in Asia Pacific 2009” one year later. The well-tended facilities are a must for golfers who are vacationing in the region The 18-hole, par-72 course was designed by Thai golf course architect Pirapon Namatra. And the design is splendid indeed; almost every hole offers golfers fantastic views of the sea and wooded mountains. Each hole has six tees, making this handsome course well suited for players of all handicap classes. It lies on the grounds of a former pineapple plantation. Today, marvellously tended fairways, fast greens, and strategically located, very deep bunkers, combine with a few water hazards to make up a wonderful course. The hilly terrain offers fairways that are quite undulating at times. Hole 15 is the signature hole of the Banyan Golf Club, a short par 3 with a breathtaking view of the sea and the Gulf of Thailand, all the way to Singtoh Island. There is a driving range with practice greens for training. The gorgeous, Thai-style clubhouse convinces by its exclusive reception area. Here, you can also find the very well-equipped pro shop.
