Deer Creek Golf Club

The Deer Creek Golf Club is located in the city of Deerfield Beach, Broward County, Florida. It stretches across a typical southern Florida landscape near the Atlantic Ocean, though the low-lying hills are unusual for the region. From Boca Raton, the near the Deer Creek Golf Club can be reached in around 10 minutes via S Military Trail; from Fort Lauderdale, in half an hour via I 95 N. In 1971, it opened its 18-hole course, type parkland with par 72, designed by the well-known golf course architect Arthur Hills. In 2004, the course was redesigned. The 6,435-meter long course is characterized by wide fairways, dog legs, numerous bunkers, and water hazards. Holes 9-13, 15, and 18 boast many water hazards in the form of lakes, ponds, and streams. At four of these holes, golfers must play over the water. At the Deer Creek Golf Club, there are five different tee boxes, allowing golfers to choose their level of difficulty accordingly. This makes the course easy to master by both beginners, as well as experienced golfers. The championship course is among the best courses in southern Florida and awaits visitors with an impressive 2,787-square meter large club house in typical Key West style.
