Golf de La Roche-Posay

Situated in western France in the spa and bathing resort La Roche-Posay, famous for its thermal water, lies the golf club Golf de La Roche-Posay, in the department of Vienne in the Aquitaine-Limousin-Poitou-Charantes region. It is located on a wooded domain in the thermal park of La Roche-Posay and runs through a forest area around a picturesque pond. Golf de La Roche-Posay is well connected to the neighboring towns of Poitiers and Châtellerault, which are 20 to 30 minutes away via the D3 and the D725. The golf club was established in 1981 and features the 18 hole course Connétable with par 72. Former French golf champion and golf course architect Jean Garaȉalde is responsible for its design. He created a slightly hilly course with a flat decline, including long, narrow fairways, partly lined by oak trees, numerous doglegs and bunkers as well as ponds, lakes, and streams that add difficulty to the course as water hazards. Connétable is classified as a technically demanding course, but is still easy to play for both beginners and experienced golfers. The golf club Golf de la Roche-Posay offers a practice area with a driving range with four tees, two of which are covered, a short course, a target green, a putting and a pitching green, as well as practice bunkers. Golf clubs, electric carts, and trolleys can be rented by golfers.
