Golf de Nançay Sologne

The golf club Golf de Nançay Sologne lies near the town of Nançay, in the Centre-Val de Loire region in the department of Cher. It is situated on a 130 hectare area in the Domaine de Samord, in the midst of the forests of the Sologne countryside, which is scattered with ponds, right next to the Étang de Chamort. Golf de Nançay Sologne is easily accessible from the larger cities in central France. From Bourges, the club can be reached in 40 minutes via the D944 and from Orléans in an hour on the same route. The club was established in 1990 and is home to a 9 hole parkland course with par 36, designed by the golf course architect Gaetan Morgue Algen. The 3046 meter long course is surrounded by forest paths and a few of the 2800 ponds of the Sologne. With its bunkers and water hazards, the course provides athletic and tactical challenges for golfers of all skill levels. Golf de Nançay Sologne was voted 14th of France’s 154 9 hole courses by the golf magazine Fairway in 2012. The golf club offers golfers a driving range to practice long hits and a putting green. Golf clubs can be rented. At the on-site Pro Shop, a small selection of golf clothing and articles such as tees, gloves, and golf balls are available.
