Golfclub Sellinghausen e.V.

The Golfclub Sellinghausen e.V. is located in Sellinghausen, a district of the North Rhine-Westphalian town Schmallenberg in the Hochsauerland. The former Hanseatic city at the river Lenne is surrounded by the hills and forest of the Schmallberger Sauerland. The club is situated in a popular holiday region and thus well connected to the transport network. From Bad Fredeburg, which is six kilometers away, it is easily accessible via the B511. The Golfclub Sellinghausen e.V. was founded in 1991 and opened its first golf course on agricultural fallow land next to a holiday resort. Today it owns a 9 hole tournament course with par 74 and a public 9 hole short course. Both are located directly next to each other and can be combined to form an 18 hole course with par 65. The tournament course at the Golfclub Sellinghausen e.V. partly runs alongside the Hallebach and requires a significant degree of fitness due to its very hilly terrain with bunkers, ponds, trees, bushes and doglegs. The public 9 hole course is also playable for beginners but demands a little bit of skill and fitness, too. The practice area of the Golfclub Sellinghausen e.V. contains a driving range with 20 tees, six of which are covered. Furthermore, there are practice bunkers and opportunities to practice putting, pitching and chipping. Trolleys and electric carts can be rented as well as golf clubs. Furthermore, the club offers trial classes and classes to obtain a license to play golf courses.
