Morgado Golfplatz

The Morgado Golf Course is part of the Morgado do Reguengo Golf Resort, belonging to the Nau Group, located in the center of the picturesque hilly landscape between Portimão and the spa town of Monchique. It is well-connected to local transport via the A22. From Lagos, it is only 30 minutes away; from the airport in Faro only 45 minutes. The Morgado Golf Course is an 18-hole course, type parkland/links with par 73, designed by Russell Talley from European Golf Design. Opened in 2003, it offers a great view of the Monchique mountains and has something to offer golfers of all levels. Big greens, wide, fairways, lakes, bunkers, and a number of different tees characterize the 6,399-meter long course – the longest along the Algarve. Particular at the Morgado Golf Course is the Scottish-inspired links design, despite it not running alongside the beach like traditional links courses, but is rather a heathland course. Players have access to a driving range with two tees, two putting greens, as well as two chipping greens to practice the necessary long game. Golf clothing and equipment in the resort’s own, well-stocked Pro Shop.
