Newport Sands Links Golf Club

The Newport Sands Links Golf Club is an attractive coastal location in the west of Wales. The facilities have been harmoniously integrated into the majestic landscape of the Pembrokeshire Coastal National Park. The five-time British Open champion James Braid designed the 18-hole course with par 71 (5,534 meters) that was opened in 1925. The club can be reached in only two minutes from downtown Newport by car. Originally a 9-hole course, it has been carefully expanded and modernized. However, the original first and oldest nine holes were retained. The course is well-suited for all playing levels and offers golfers an interesting and challenging round of golf. Training possibilities are available at the driving range and training greens for both club members and guests. There is also a well-stocked Pro Shop on-site and a golf school. Two professional golfers there offer individual or group lessons. Those interested can rent any necessary golf equipment. The club’s selection includes an excellent restaurant, as well as a well-stocked bar.
