The Shoal Creek Golf Course can be found in Kansas City in Clay County in the US state of Missouri. It runs along a hilly terrain with an idyllic forest in the prairie landscape of Missouri. From Kansas City’s center, the Shoal Creek Golf Course is quick to reach in 20 minutes via the Interstate 35 N. It was opened in 2001 as an 18-hole course with par 71 and designed by the golf course architect Steve Wolfard. The course has a length of 6,355 meters and features spectacular altitude differences that golfers must overcome. Long fairways lined by trees, generous landing areas, doglegs, bunkers and a few water hazards determine the layout of the Shoal Creek Golf Course. Canals, creeks and lakes can only be found at the back nine holes 12, 15, and 16 to 18. Water must be played across at holes 12, 17 and 18. The Shoal Creek Golf Course takes first place among public golf courses in Missouri according to Golf Card Traveler. Golfweek Magazine also named it the best publicly accessible course in Missouri in 2006. In the club’s practice area, golfers will find a two-story driving range with a 1,114 square meter teeing area and 25 tees. It also contains a 557 square meter putting and chipping zone with six target greens.
