Sidney Country Club

The Sidney Country Club is situated on the western edge of the city of Sidney, which lies in Richland County in the US state of Montana. It lies embedded in the Lower Yellowstone River Valley, close to the North Dakota border. From Sidney’s center, the Sidney Country Club can be reached in just three minutes via the MT-16 N/W Holly St. It opened a 9-hole course back in 1929 which was expanded to an 18-hole course with par 72 in 1999. It was created by combining the new and old holes into a completely new layout. Today’s course measures 6,310 meters and runs along wavy terrain with open, tree-lined fairways, flat, fast and medium-sized greens, several doglegs and sand bunkers, as well as water hazards at 8 of the 18 holes. On the fairways, golfers will find three different options for teeing off to provide a variety of difficulty levels, so that they can take on the challenging course at the Sidney Country Club according to their own playing abilities. The course is the only golf course in the eastern half of the state of Montana and hosts the annual golf tournament of the American Petroleum Institute. Ambitious golfers can practice for this on the driving range in the club’s practice area, which provides 25 tees. A short game area with practice bunkers is also available.
