Sunnybreeze Golfplatz

The Sunnybreeze Golf Course is situated near the city of Arcadia in DeSoto County, which lies in the US state of Florida. It sits close to the Peace River, surrounded by a quiet residential area. From Arcadia, the Sunnybreeze Golf course can be reached comfortably in 20 minutes via the US-17 S, and in 26 minutes from the nearest coastal town of Port Charlotte via the US-17 N. The course was opened in 1971 as an 18-hole championship course in the parkland style with par 71 and was designed by Andy Anderson. With a length of 5,622 meters, the course displays narrow fairways lined by trees, several doglegs, sand bunkers and considerable height differences. At 11 of 18 holes, golfers encounter water hazards such as lakes, ponds, canals and water ditches that must be played across. In 2001, the 9-hole Breeze par 3 course was opened as a links type course with par 27 on the Sunnybreeze Golf Course, which the owner of the golf course, William D. Baker, designed. The course measures 861 meters, possesses few trees but large greens. At holes 2 and 9, water hazards add to the difficulty of the golf game on the Executive Course, which is also used for the trend sport footgolf. Golfers can train in the practice area with a large driving range with 40 tees.
