Der Kurs in River Oaks

The golf course “The Course at River Oaks” is located in the city of Searcy, White County, Arkansas. It is located near Little Red River, only around ten minutes from downtown. From the capital of Arkansas, Little Rock, the course at River Oaks, can be reached in an hour via US 167 N/US 67 N. The 18-hole course (type parkland with par 71) was opened in 1992 and designed by golf course architect John Floyd. The 5,630-meter long course traverses slightly hilly terrain with varied fairways and greens. The fairways are either long and narrow or short and wide, but always flanked by trees. There are small and large greens – some of which are elevated or covered in trees. The Course at River Oaks has many water hazards, some dog legs, and bunkers. It can be mastered by athletic golfers of all playing levels. The holes 1 to 3, 7, 15, and 17 require the golfer to play over water. Golfers can practice at a driving range with 15 ranged tees and rent golf clubs, trolleys, and electric carts on-site. In the on-site Pro Shop, golf clothing and equipment can be purchased. Executive Golf Magazine ranked the idyllic course under its top 10 public golf courses in Arkansas.
