Wernddu Golf Club

With its location directly at the southeast end of the Brecon Beacons National Park, the Wernddu Golf Club offers an especially exciting golf experience with grandiose views of one of the most beautiful landscapes in all of Wales. The golf course is situated along the A465 between Hereford and Newport and can be reached in only 50 minutes from the coastal city of Cardiff. The 18-hole golf course (par 69) has been operated by the Watkins family for three generations and is characterized by its especially cozy and familial atmosphere. The Wernddu Golf Club boasts varied parkland terrain making it ideal for players of all levels. However, the first 9 fairways are significantly longer than those that lead back to the club house. Small lakes are used as hazards along the course and accentuate well the typically Welsh character of the landscape. The 9-hole pitch and putt course offers family fun and training possibilities. The driving range with 22 tees and floodlights allows golfers to train in the evenings as well. At the Wernddu Golf Club, both individual and group lessons by golf professionals are available; rental equipment can be found on-site. In the charming club house, cool refreshments and interesting conversations at the cozy bar await locals and visitors.
