Wolf Creek Golf & Country Club

The Wolf Creek Golf & Country Club lies near the village of Bastian in Bland County, belonging to the US state of Virginia. It is built upon a wavy area at the edge of the Jefferson National Forest, traversed by Wolf Creek, and presents a beautiful panoramic view of the Appalachian mountain ranges. Situated just twelve minutes away from Bastian’s town center, the Wolf Creek Golf & Country Club can be easily reached from Bland via the Interstate 77 S in just 17 minutes. In 1981, Maurice Brackett designed its 18-hole, par 71 course. He created a 5,833-meter-long course with fairways densely lined by trees, huge wavy greens, numerous doglegs and water hazards at 11 of the 18 holes. Noteworthy are the sharply kinked doglegs at holes 8 and 10, as well as the gigantic greens with an enormous incline at holes 6 and 15. The signature hole, hole 13, requires golfers to tee across a pond and the course of a stream to reach the small green. Another interesting hole of this challenging course for golfers is hole 16, which has an elevated tee, water hazards on three sides and a large sand bunker. The Wolf Creek Golf & Country Club does not have a driving range, however, there is a putting green to practice the short game.
